I first started noticing my hair thinning in my early-thirties. At first it was just a few extra hairs in the shower. But when I began seeing a surprising number of strands coming out when I ran my hands through my hair, I panicked a bit. My father and some of my friends had dealt with hair loss, and had varying results with treatment. I polled a group of guys in my life and it seemed like the most common was Minoxidil, an over the counter medication that has been used to treat hair loss for years. I decided to order a 5% Minoxidil Foam, which I started using as directed, and kept my fingers crossed that I’d see improvement. Unfortunately, my hopes were too high.
Within just a few days of using the foam, my scalp started itching like crazy and my skin started flaking as well. I also noticed breakouts along my hairline where I had applied the foam. Was this my future, I wondered? Constant discomfort and embarrassing flakes and acne? Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, I started noticing some sexual side effects. There was a distinct drop in my libido and even when I was aroused, you couldn’t tell, if you catch my drift. There had to be a better way. I decided to stop using the Minoxidil and made an appointment at my dermatologist as soon as possible.
My doctor said that he’d seen these side effects before with Minoxidil and told me about a product called REVIVV. Created by physicians and scientists, REVIVV is an all-natural topical hair serum that stimulates and rejuvenates hair follicles, roots and the scalp to improve the appearance of your hair. My doctor said he had seen great results with other patients and that since it was drug-free, I wouldn’t experience the side effects that other treatments could cause.
My order arrived quickly and I was really eager to get started. I first examined the derma roller that I had also ordered, a device that contains 225 stainless steel micro needles that stimulate hair follicles and increase absorption of the REVIVV serum. I used it as directed, applying light pressure while rolling back and forth across my scalp until it became a bit sensitive. It definitely wasn’t painful, it just felt a bit strange the first time I used it. But if it would improve the performance of the serum, I was game.
Then I turned my attention to the serum. Immediately, I could tell that the application was way better than the Minoxidil foam, which I found to be messy and hard to apply effectively. The REVIVV serum has a simple stainless steel rollerball design that makes it so easy to put on. I began to roll the serum liberally onto my scalp, which took about 15 seconds. It absorbed quickly and my hair looked great. No muss, no fuss, and I was out the door. It was a head and shoulders above the foam (no pun intended).
After using the Derma roller and REVIVV serum together for 2 months, I noticed a huge difference. My hair was thicker and healthier, and I was seeing much less of it in the shower drain and in my brush. When I recently grabbed dinner with one of the friends I had consulted at the beginning of this journey he took one look at me and said, “Wait, I thought you said your hair was thinning.” Needless to say, I told him about REVIVV. Now he, and the other hair loss sufferers in my life, are all converts. For those looking to treat hair loss, my advice is to skip the Minoxidil and go for REVIVV. For me it offered all of the amazing results with none of the unfortunate side effects. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
